We can flip the factory trends toward becoming more conscious and in keeping with our principles when we as consumers demand it. Fashion is not about what you wear, but who you are. If you are someone who cares about what is happening to people and the planet, your threads should reflect that. Vintage and eco-fashion do a lot to keep chemicals out of the waste stream and reduce the amount of damage done to the environment with the dyeing and spinning of materials. These choices also show you care about how people are treated as workers. Protecting those who are sewing what you wear from human rights abuses begins with you the consumer speaking up. So if you want to show your style, flip your fashion choices from getting dirty to getting down with a conscious choice. Photo by Paul Morris
