Fall Back Into Yourself

Cool Hive Daily - Sanctuary Sunday
As we set our clocks back, consider using that added hour to get outside and reconnect with nature and friends. Sanctuary Sunday covers home and your primary home is actually your body. When you truly inhabit your body the whole world becomes your garden. Tend to yourself and to your garden and we will all thrive.

At Cool Hive we think this is a big part of Making The Planet and America Cool Again!  Every day Cool Hive explores ways to live with less carbon and more style but this is also the way toward respecting our body as a sanctuary. Living with more respect for the planet also gives you more respect for yourself and your health. What is better for you in real terms is also better for the planet. Eating less meat for example has been shown to improve heart heath but it also reduces your carbon footprint and of course saves the cow from a brutal death. We were given the earth and we figured out how to charge rent for it. The idea of private property  altered our relationship with all the species we share this space with. In real terms the earth is a giant natural system that we inhabit while we are alive. Our body is really our only true home everything else is just space we move through. This is an idea that might be challenging to try on but it can't be any harder than trying to squeeze into skinny jeans. The idea of collective ownership will become more important as resources become more scarce. Shared property, leased use of items and collective ownership and stewardship may help us all inhabit ourselves with more ease and grace. It may also help us stay connected  to our community and our planet in a meaningful way. If we tend to our thoughts, our language, our food and our exercise we will have a healthy home...our body. Cool Hive Daily is exploring health tips, vegan recipes, ethical fashion news, new clean technology to help us make a delicious, well-styled healthy transition into a new low-carbon economy we all species are included in the "value" proposition. We can all live a healthier, happier life while saving money and the planet. Join us so we can discover together how to make the planet cooler for everyone.Photo by D. Carlson taken from Mt. Tam.
