This century’s challenge is to build a robust economy for a sustainable future. Long-term success is derived from inclusive principles that support both people and the planet. This solution-based newsletter highlights healthy choices designed with everyone’s future in mind. The easy step-by-step approach can be implemented all at once or gradually over time. To cross the bridge toward a sustainable culture, we must take regular incremental steps to reach our goal. By reducing CO2 emissions by 80% while increasing our energy intensity to meet the needs of a growing population, we will modernize, evolve, and become more efficient. Every system will improve. This is an opportunity rather than a crisis, as we are collectively building a restorative economy.

We are the tributaries of what is to become the mainstream. We are paving the way for global change. The actions of each individual matter greatly. It starts with individuals standing up and holding their ground.

I am grateful to the many innovators, scientists, and global citizens for their concern, applied knowledge, commitment, and trend-setting influence. I extend my gratitude to our government representatives who stand up to adversity and promote the Green New Deal and global climate policy. Thank you to the numerous agencies and nonprofits that have committed to creating a more sustainable world where we can all thrive. I also express my appreciation to those who have divested from the fossil fuel industry and are driving the restorative economy with significant investment contributions. As they say, “follow the money,” as it indicates the path to the future.

I consider myself fortunate to live in close proximity to breathtaking wild lands that inspire me to preserve and protect them from the adverse effects of climate change and irresponsible development. Moreover, I am grateful for the diverse landscape, brimming with intermingled species, right at my doorstep. I hope this newsletter inspires more people to venture outdoors and connect with our wild and wonderful feathered and furry citizens. We are their voice, and by doing so, we vote to protect the hills, plants, and animals that make our community beautiful and interconnected.
