The Sound of Ice

DJ Spooky on Ice, on sound, on history, on philosophy, on climate.

When a soundtrack determined by data in the Ice Cores where chained together by a Standford group of climate scientists and musicians it melodically moved along for several million years in a pleasant harmony but when we reached the sonification of the last century of ice core data it was deafening. This was my first clear understanding of how much more CO2 is in the atmosphere than in all previous centuries.
